A Bright Cherry Blossom Wedding Sampler

Photographing Anja and Michael’s wedding was such a joy, and I’m still smiling thinking about their incredible day. Set at a stunning Airbnb in Carr’s Landing with Okanagan Lake sparkling in the background, it was the kind of scene that makes you pinch yourself to make sure it’s real. The day started with a heartfelt father-daughter first look. Anja’s dad had flown all the way from Germany, and when he saw her in her wedding dress, his eyes lit up like he was seeing her for the first time. Their hug, with a few happy tears, was so tender it had me tearing up behind the camera. It was the perfect nod to their German roots. The ceremony was intimate and so personal, held right there with the lake as a backdrop. They exchanged vows in a beautiful service conducted in German, which felt like such a special touch. The smaller guest list made every moment feel warm and meaningful, like everyone was part of one big family. Afterward, we wandered into a nearby orchard where cherry blossoms were blooming like they knew it was a special day. Anja and Michael looked radiant, and we took our time capturing some gorgeous formal shots with those soft pink petals stealing the show. Spring really showed up for them!
