A Gellatly Wedding in West Kelowna
Gellatly has always been one of my favorite places to photograph in Kelowna. It’s a gorgeous venue, full of possibilities. And speaking of possibilities, I’m sure all you remember the engagement shoot from last year. Yup, this is the wedding sampler. Keep in mind this is a preview. In a few weeks we’ll have the full entry up, and they’ll be a lot more photographs!
I actually hopped a fence and looked around for a nut to put the rings on. This rustic fence, though, I figured would set just the right tone. The first few photos of the day are always a little stressful – they set the tone for the rest of the day so they have to be perfect. Fence hopping perfect.
Everyone was busy right away. We were a little freaked out about rain, but the sun came out just in time.
A few flower girls decided to take advantage of the fluffy, bouncy bed….
And a few of the guys had the same idea.
But things were getting more serious. The dress was getting prepared. You’ll see it in the full album, but the look on Courtney’s face when she saw her mom for the first time.
You’ll see more of these soon. They’re by Krista Cook, and they were perfect.
As it always does, it went far too quickly.
The vows, the I do’s, all of it. Managed to get a killer group shot after, though! Enjoy.
If there’s one thing you should look for when you hire a wedding photographer, see how they are arranging a group of people under pressure. That being said, these peeps were awesome. We got some amazing photos with the groomsmen I can’t wait to show you!
As promised, more paper flowers. Aren’t they just the bestest?
Group shots were divine. I’ve got so many great ones to show you! They guys were hilarious. It was hard to concentrate on taking photos because I was cracking up every two seconds!
There’s a lot more to this wedding. Handwritten speeches, some insane dancing, a pretty awesome DJ. But I’ve got more wedding photos to process! Keep your eyes on YLW magazine – I’ll be on the front page, and there’s even a chance to win a FREE 1hR photo session with me! Or, take a look at my many, many packages to schedule your own shoot!
If you’d like to stay updated, consider adding me on Facebook, Instagram, or Google Plus. Have an awesome day, and I’ll see in my next update in three days!
