A Wooded Wedding Sampler
Welcome to a wooded wedding sampler! It might be a week or two until you can see the images, but here’s some to let you know what’s coming. Hold on tight and check this website in a week or two! Alternatively, you can check out my facebook or instagram for an update that will pop up in your face. Yesss!
The highest rated photos on my instagram are the ring photos. You girls love seeing your rings! I’m a huge fan of princess cut myself, but pear, circle cut, oval, round are all great cuts too.
The suite was at the strand, right on Okanagan Lake. Beautiful view, and gorgeous private beach. Three bedrooms too. It was a wedding photographer’s dream!
Girls were getting ready, with hair done by The Scarlet Studio. Give ’em a follow and check out those hairdo’s too!
I jumped into my well-parked car (more on this later) and drove to the boy’s house.
Everyone shaves. You have to look perfect for the big day!
The guys, being manly men, with extra manliness, got hickory axe’s with the special day inscribed on the side. I was really impressed. I don’t own an axe, but now I would like to own an axe. They were simply beautiful.
We were looking badass.
On the girl’s side, there were no battle axe’s, but we did have personalized hangers. Much harder to chop wood with, but much easier to hang up clothes with. They were really cute. <3
Shutgunned a red bull…..
And put on the last few bits of jewelry. Everything was looking awesome. We were ready to go ahead of schedule!
The ceremony turned out amazingly. All of these tearful moments. Loved ones, guests, bridesmaids and a few tears. It was great.
The sun was coming in just right, and the greens from the trees were so vibrant. Bonita was a vision.
I wish I could have shown you a few more group photos, because they turned out amazingly. But I can’t, because I’m still working on Dan’s wedding. They’re coming, though. And they look GREAT.
We popped the cork on some champagne, and we were off to the take the formals!
We went to Ellison Park. A few of the beach goers look confused about our choice of beach attire, and we stared back at them. Equally confused by their choice of wedding attire.
The photos turned out better than I could have hoped. I was a pretty giddy photographer on the way back to the SUV.
The two of them felt right at home in the midst of nature. I got a look from them that was just perfect.
Back to Paddlewheel Park!
There were a lot of great moments. Plenty of smiles, a ton of candid grins. I’ve got a ton of photos to sort through, and there’s all gold.
Some of my favorites during the first dance….
And a whole lot of dancing after that too!
The photo booth guy cancelled out, so I made it a point to get photos of every wedding guest there! Did I? I’m not sure.
Looking at the group shots, though, I didn’t miss anyone. Only way to tell, though, is to pop back in a week or two and check out the final album! I’ll see you then!
As a side note, paddlewheel hall was pretty busy. I noticed a few albertans with jacked up trucks parked up the mountain. Not to be outdone, I backed up it too.
If this whole wedding photographer thing doesn’t work out, I’m going to get a job as a chauffeur!
Thanks for reading this far! If you’ve enjoyed these photos, why not take a few lessons so you can take great photos on your own? See you in a few days!
